BIOGRAPHY
Pietro Ibba received his M.Sc. in Food Quality and Safety from University of Tuscia (Viterbo, Italy) in 2017. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen (Bolzano, Italy) in 2021 with a thesis entitled “Fruit Quality Evaluation Using Electrical Impedance Spectroscopy”. After the PhD, he continued working at the Sensing technologies laboratory of the Faculty of Science and Technology at the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, first as post-doctoral fellow and, since April 2022, as assistant professor (RTDa).
Pietro’s current research is focused on the use of electrical impedance spectroscopy for the characterization of fruit quality and plant health, as well as the fabrication, validation and application of low-cost electrodes, sensors, and sensor systems for environmental, agricultural and food monitoring.
